About
Sonia Raudszus
Sonia Raudszus
After graduating from the University of Pretoria in 2011, Sonia completed her community service at Witbank Provincial Hospital, where she gained hands-on experience in clinical nutrition and community outreach. This was followed by an extensive experience in various settings- including hospitals, private practice, and the corporate industry.
Bridging the gap between medical nutrition therapy and real-life application, she specializes in helping individuals navigate the complexities of chronic disease management, bariatric nutrition, and sustainable weight loss. Her mission is to cut through the noise of fad diets and misinformation, offering clear, actionable solutions that empower her patients to regain control of their health.
Sonia’s approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and tailored to meet your unique needs and lifestyle. She understands that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to nutrition, which is why she takes the time to listen to your concerns, assess your dietary habits, and develop a customized plan that fits seamlessly into your life. With a focus on sustainable changes that promote long-term health, Sonia empowers her clients with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed choices and cultivate a positive relationship with food.
Sonia is an affiliated member with ADSA (Association for Dietetics in South Africa) and SAMMSS (South African Metabolic Medicine and Surgery Society). She is also one of only three SCOPE certified dietitians in South Africa, a World Obesity Federation accreditation programme that is the gold standard of obesity management expertise, recognising excellence in obesity prevention and treatment.
Apart from being passionate about nutrition and health, Sonia enjoys training and loves the outdoors, camping and enjoys spending time with friends and family in nature either being active or enjoying a crisp gin and tonic next to a crackling fire in the bush.
