Excercise after COVID-19

There has been some confusion regarding exercise post COVID-19 infection.

These recommendations have evolved over the last 2 years as the virus mutated and vaccines became more widely used. The new recommendations have furthermore also been updated as new studies became available.

The short answer is that if you had symptoms and uncomplicated illness you can return to minimal exercise when your symptoms resolve but you should wait at least 2 weeks before starting strenuous exercise again. It is important to understand this is general guidelines and if you are unsure, it is best to speak to your doctor.
